Coffee in a Cone, the recipe for the world’s most instagrammed coffee is here. Instead of serving coffee in a cup you serve it in a chocolate coated waffle cone. This is a super fun way to serve coffee and also it tastes delicious because of the chocolate that slowly melts and mixes into the coffee.
You can serve your regular coffee or cappuccino or espresso or hot chocolate. With my recipe the chocolate won’t melt too fast and you will be able to enjoy your coffee in peace even when served in a cone. You can eat the cone after finishing your drink, it will taste like a Belgian waffle because of the warm melted chocolate on the waffle cone.
You can also serve cold coffee in this chocolate coated waffle cone.
Once you have coated the waffle cone with chocoalate coating, you can decorate it as you want. A few ideas are – graham cracker crusts, chocolate-dipped cones, sprinkled rims.
One more thing serving coffee this way instead of a disposable cup is better for the environment as well. Like chandler says “Gum would be perfection”, I am going to say that this ” coffee would be perfection”.

How to melt Chocolate?
- Melting chocolate on the stovetop – is the preferred method. A double boiler gives you the best control over the heat. The steam of the simmering water gently melts the chocolate so that it doesn’t burn.
Create a double boiler by bringing a medium pot filled a little less than halfway with water to a simmer. Place a heatproof bowl that’s just big enough to sit on top of the pot and add your chocolate chips or chopped chocolate bar to the bowl. Keep the pot over low heat and stir the chocolate with a rubber spatula until silky smooth.
Pro tip: After removing your bowl from the double boiler, take a towel and wipe the bottom dry. You don’t want to risk any water finding its way into your bowl. Water is chocolate’s worst enemy and will cause it to seize so you want to avoid water touching it at all costs.
2. Melting in the microwave – Melting in the microwave is the faster of the two methods, but it is still important to watch it carefully. Place chocolate in a heatproof bowl and only microwave for 30 seconds at a time, stirring after each time. Once chocolate is looking almost melted with just a few lumps, don’t microwave it again just stir the chocolate until it is completely smooth.
