Til ke laddu/ Sesame Peanut balls makes for a good warming sweet snack during the winters. Make them, store them, and have them whenever you want. The recipe makes for 5 to 8 balls. But you can double or triple it.

Ingredients

  • Sesame Seeds – 1 Cup

  • Peanuts – 1 Cup

  • Jaggery – 1/2 cup or to taste

Directions

  • Roast sesame seeds on medium low heat for 4 to 5 minutes. The sesame seeds will release aromas and also start to sizzle in the pan. Take out the sesame seeds in a wide bowl and allow them to cool.
  • In the same pan, roast the peanuts for 4 to 5 minutes stirring constantly. Once the peanuts start to get light golden brown spots on them, take them out in a bowl and allow to cool.
  • Add cooled sesame seeds to a mixer jar and grind into fine powder. Take it into a bowl.
  • Now, to the same jar add cooled peanuts and grind into fine powder. Take it into another bowl.
  • Crush the jaggery to a fine powder using a pestle or mixer. Keep aside. I used soft jaggery so I crushed it using my fingers.
  • Take 1/4 cup of ground sesame seeds powder, 1/4 cup of ground peanuts powder and add it to a mixer jar and grind for 10 to 15 seconds. Take it into a bowl and add 2 tbsp(or to taste) jaggery powder and mix well using your hand until the mixture releases oil and make balls.
  • The above step helps the mixture release the oil and binds the balls.
  • Easy Sesame Peanut balls are ready.
